Because of the flexible nature of the Internet, students have ample opportunity to explore topics that interest them and learn in new, non-traditional ways. Our boys can create professional-standard material that can be published for audiences anywhere in the world. They can produce their own online products and conduct experiments and simulations of all kinds within the classroom, or interactively with other learners across the Internet.
The Internet has globalised education and provides the opportunity for students to reach out real-time to peers all over the globe.
This very interactive nature of the Internet means that our boys also need to learn about digital citizenship – the best ways to interact safely and ethically online for leisure and for learning. Let's work together to create a rich technology future for each boy at the College.
Having just joined this Ning I feel like I have enrolled again!! I originally started at SJC in 1961 and did the Leaving in 1965. I have been back often and SJC has always been a place where I have connected with friends. Hopefully it will happen here too!!
